Hi friends! In today’s watercolor session, I’m creating a simple loose landscape and building it up in layers using watercolor, mark making, and colored pencil details.
This is a relaxed painting exercise focused on color, texture, and creating depth through simple materials and techniques.
In this video:
• Paint a loose watercolor landscape base
• Work wet-in-wet for soft sky and ground transitions
• Add texture while paint is still wet using scratching techniques
• Build atmospheric effects in the landscape
• Layer Derwent drawing pencils over dry watercolor
• Add line work, shading, and color variation
• Refine shapes and contrast to develop the composition
