Hi friends! In today’s sketchbook session, I’m creating an easy mixed media page by starting with simple watercolor shapes and then layering a variety of art supplies to explore color, texture, and mark making. This is a relaxing exercise that’s all about creative play rather than a finished masterpiece.
In this video:
* Paint a simple abstract watercolor background
* Explore color mixing and loose shapes
* Add texture with Neocolor I crayons
* Layer water-based markers over watercolor
* Experiment with resist effects and transparent color
* Add acrylic marker details for contrast
* Fill a sketchbook page through playful mark making
If you enjoy mixed media art, watercolor, sketchbook inspiration, mark making, and experimenting with your art supplies, I hope you’ll enjoy creating alongside me.
Thanks for watching!
