Hi friends! In today’s acrylic painting session, I’m creating a loose sketchbook spread inspired by an Unsplash photo while using a bright underpainting to add luminosity and depth. This fun mixed media approach is all about layering color, experimenting, and making simple subjects come alive.

Create a vibrant acrylic underpainting
Paint a loose terracotta pot composition
Mix colors directly on the page
Build depth with layered acrylic paint
Add highlights and shadows for contrast
Create texture using water droplets
Finish with NeoColor crayons for extra texture and interest
