Hi friends! In today’s experiment, I’m comparing gauze and cheesecloth to see how each one creates texture in watercolor and fluid art. I made two simple abstract paintings and tested synthetic gauze fabric against cotton cheesecloth pieces side by side to see the differences in pattern, absorbency, and overall effect. If you’ve ever wondered which fabric works better for adding texture to watercolor, this video walks through the process step by step and shows the final results up close. This is an easy mixed media technique you can try with inexpensive materials, and it’s a great way to add organic texture to abstract paintings.
