Exploring Watercolor over Gesso with Scratch Marks and Texture – Easy Flower Painting

Hi friends! One of the things I like to do is mix watercolor and acrylic paint. In this video, I’m exploring using watercolor over textured gesso as a base layer, made by scratching in marks with a stylus, palette knife, or anything on hand. If you want to try this gesso and watercolor technique, it’s easy to follow along! Let’s paint these easy flowers together in watercolor and acrylic.
