Hi friends! I broke out my 11×14 Canson Mixed Media sketchbook today to paint these loose abstract flowers in acrylic over an orange underpainting. I love using these bright underpaintings as a base layer so the color can peek through in the later layers and add a tone to the finished page. I have really enjoyed painting in this acrylic style lately, with my landscapes, etc. and I have worked on a few still life paintings using photo references in this same style. It’s so relaxing to slowly add blobs of color and see a painting come to life, and I love keeping a painting semi abstract. It’s been so fun experimenting this way, and I am glad to share it with you! I hope you enjoy this video!
