Hey guys, it’s Kate, and I’m back with another video today. I’m working on some intuitive watercolors, just playing around with my paints and brush. I’ve sprayed down my paint a little bit to get them nice and moist, and now we’re just going to see where this session takes us.
Starting off with some light washes of blue, I’m experimenting with blending and different color combinations. This kind of painting could make for an interesting background, suitable for wall art or collage. It’s also great for art journaling, getting those creative juices flowing.
You know, sometimes staring at a blank page can be daunting, but the key is to just jump in and start. You might surprise yourself with what you create.
I’m using a palette of MozArt Komorebi paints, which I’ve been enjoying lately. They offer a nice selection of colors, and I’ve been having fun with them on various projects. I also picked up some art supplies from a brand called KingArt, which I’m excited to try out soon.
As I continue painting, I’m focusing on creating different organic shapes and experimenting with blending and texture. It’s all about finding the balance between soft blends and hard edges to create visual interest.
You might notice my cat making a cameo in the background. She’s always around when I’m painting, seeking attention. She’s quite the show-stealer!
Adding some burnt umber for contrast and blending it out, I’m starting to see this painting take shape. It’s funny how sometimes a painting evolves into something unexpected, like this one reminding me of a landscape.
I’m also incorporating some orange into the mix, which adds a nice pop of color and complements the other shades well. I like to distribute each color throughout the painting to create cohesion.
Finally, I’m adding some finishing touches, like dots and drips, which I love incorporating into my work. It’s these little details that can really make a piece come alive.
Thanks for watching this video today! Until next time, keep creating!
