Doodle and Make Marks on Your Own Hand Painted Collage Papers

Doodle and Make Marks on Your Own Hand Painted Collage Papers

Hey everyone, it’s Kate! So, today I wanted to show you some cool stuff I’ve been working on using these awesome papers I picked up from Dollar Tree. Yep, you heard me right, a whole pack for just $1.25! These papers are perfect for backgrounds in journaling, collage, or just for some good old-fashioned practice. Plus, they come in all sorts of beautiful colors and textures, so you can really let your creativity run wild.

I’ve been experimenting with painting and inking on these papers, and the results have been so fun. I’ve been doodling leaves and adding some sparkle with a gold paint marker, and I’m loving the way the pink and turquoise colors blend together. Some of these papers were done in alcohol ink, while others were done in watercolor, and let me just say, the textures are chef’s kiss.

Today, I thought it’d be fun to doodle on a couple of these papers together. So grab your pens and let’s get creative! I’m feeling inspired by the rough texture of this one, so I’m gonna go for something smooth and do some circle shapes. It’s all about experimenting and seeing where the marks take you, you know?

I’m sketching out some circles and adding a bit of texture to the outlines. I want them to really pop against the background, so I’m coloring in some areas and having fun with it. It’s amazing how just a few simple marks can make such an impact.

Next up, I’m trying out this white pen I’ve been struggling with. It’s not my favorite, but hey, sometimes you gotta work with what you’ve got, right? I’m adding some white lines and doodles, but honestly, I’m not loving the results. It’s a bit too finicky for my taste, so note to self: maybe try something else next time.

But hey, we’re all about experimenting here, so I’m not gonna let a little white pen drama get me down. I’m switching over to my trusty Gelly Roll pen for some finer lines, and I’m already feeling better about it. It’s so satisfying adding those little details and watching everything come together.

Now, it’s time to bring in gold paint marker. I’m adding some dots and lines to give my doodles that extra oomph, and I’m loving the way it contrasts against the other colors. It’s like the cherry on top of a delicious doodle sundae.

As I’m working, I’m realizing that sometimes the best art comes from just letting go and having fun. It’s not about being perfect, it’s about enjoying the process and seeing where it takes you. And you know what? I’m pretty dang proud of what I’ve created here.

So, there you have it! A little peek into my doodling adventures with these Dollar Tree papers. I hope this inspires you to try some new things and just have fun with your art. Thanks for hanging out with me today, and until next time, keep creating!
